Nachiket W. Potnis (MBA)

Executive Director

Potnis has worked since 1987 in various senior level management positions.  In 1993 he moved to Tanzania and in 2006 he co-founded ARTI-TZ after undergoing extensive training with ARTI technologies in India.  Potnis has since been the driving force behind the organization and the development of ARTI Energy.

Dennis Tessier (MA)DS

Programs Director

Tessier has worked in Tanzania since 2003 in the field of Poverty and Resource Management after completing an MA in Development Studies from the University of Dar es Salaam.  Tessier co-founded ARTI-TZ  in 2006 and has contributed significantly to the creation of ARTI Energy.

Kennedy Mremi

Lead Technician/Trainer

Mremi joined ARTI Energy in 2007 is the primary fabricator of Compact Biogas Systems and Charcoal Kilns. Mremi has conducted training for numerous stakeholders, including partner organizations, donors, new entrepreneurs and rural communities across Tanzania and East Africa.   The number of individuals who can attribute their technical knowledge of renewable energy to Mremi number in the thousands.


Lulu Jumanne Mwammenywa

Administrative Assistant

Lulu joined ARTI Energy in March 2011 and provides essential administrative support and customer service at the ARTI office.  Lulu is a graduate of the Tanzania Public Service College and has experience in sales and marketing, including the promotion of energy efficient cook stoves.

Godfrey joined ARTI Energy December 2011 after completing  a BA in Accounting and Finance at the Moshi University College of Cooperative and Business Studies (MUCCoBS).

Seushi joined ARTI-TZ in 2008 and is the most experienced member of our solar sales team.

Glory Tarimo

Project Officer – wPower

Glory is a qualified teacher and a graduate from the Dar es Salaam School of Journalism and is responsible for the Program in Support of Women’s Entrepreneurship in Renewables (wPower) in partnership with CARE International.

 

 

James Mariwa

Trainer

James joined ARTI-TZ in 2011 as a trainer under the Waste to Wealth project to train on the fabrication of charcoal kilns.  James is also working with community based enterprises (CBEs) to improve their charcoal briquetting capacity.

Esther Henry John

Field Officer – Solar

Esther joined the ARTI Energy team in October 2011 and is tasked with expanding our dealer network and providing sales and promotional support to existing dealers.

Abimeleck Mnaku

Field Officer – Solar/Biogas

Abby has grown up through the ARTI-TZ ranks first starting as the Chairperson for the Azania Biogas Project when he was a student at Azania Secondary School in DSM.  Abby has now started working on the team when he is not studying at college.

 

 

Brenda Allan

Solar Technician

Brenda joined the ARTI team in 2012 after graduating as a solar technician from the Vocational Education and Training Authority (VETA) and completed a three month internship with ARTI Energy.  Brenda is working with the Program in Support of Women’s Entrepreneurship in Renewables (wPower) training women on solar installation, trouble shooting and repair.

Volunteer

ARTI Energy encourages individuals and groups to volunteer and to get involved in shaping their environment.
