Potnis has 21 years working experience, of which he has spent 15 years in Tanzania at various senior level management positions. He co-founded ARTI Africa in 2006 after undergoing extensive training with ARTI technologies in India and has since been the driving force behind the organization.

Dennis Tessier (MA) DS
Programs Director
Tessier has 8 years experience in Africa in the area of stakeholder engagement and Poverty and Resource Management. Tessier has a Masters in Development Studies from the University of Dar es Salaam and co-founded ARTI Africa in 2006. Tessier joined the team full time in 2008 after completing his contract with CUSO, a Canadian funded young professionals program.

Kennedy Mremi
Trainer (Compact Biogas Systems and Kiln Fabrication)
Mremi joined ARTI Africa in 2007 is the primary fabricator of Compact Biogas Systems and Charcoal Kilns. Mremi has conducted training for the Tanzanian Ministry of Labour, Employment and Youth Development, for JET Burundi and has installed institutional Compact Biogas Systems the Dogo Dogo Centre in Dar es Salaam and Wali Ul Asr Education Centre in Kibaha, Tanzania.
Lulu Jumanne Mwammenywa
Administrative Assistant
Lulu joined ARTI Africa in March 2011 and provides essential administrative support and customer service at the ARTI office. Lulu is a graduate of the Tanzania Public Service College and has experience in sales and marketing, including the promotion of energy efficient cook stoves.

Abdulla Seushi
Project Officer – Solar
Seushi joined ARTI-TZ in 2008 and now works leading our solar team to promote safe and affordable lighting through schools, retailers, micro-finance partners and community leaders.

Field Officer – Solar
Neema joined ARTI-TZ in June 2011 promoting solar at national events and now has joined the team full time working to ensure more and more households, especially those with students and teachers, use solar.

Abimeleck Mnaku
Field Officer – Solar/Biogas
Abby has grown up through the ARTI-TZ ranks first starting as the Chairperson for the Azania Biogas Project when he was a student at Azania Secondary School in DSM. Abby has now started working on the team when he is not studying at college.
